All This Has Happened Before. But Does it Have to Happen Again?

OH SHOW. Oh, hard fought much earned HAPPY FRACKING ENDING. My goodness, I did not expect that, but it felt so GOOD. I mean, I LOATHE happy endings, but this one felt so right. I think, it part because they really earned it. They overcame so much-not just the travel, but they formed a society of humans and cylons at the end. To get to that point after genocide means that they earned it. I cried like a little baby at some parts, and not because I was sad really, but because it was just such a good happy place to be. It was exhausting to get there (and I didn't even watch the series from the beginning) and it finally felt so right.

Now, to start I must pull something of a Lee Adama. AHM. "I LOVE YOU KARA THRACE" and you are so amazing. And still somewhat of an unknown. I shall call you 'angel'. It was so satisfying to see her work out everything and lead them to our 'earth'. And then at the end to make peace with Lee and the Old Man and just vanish. No long drawn out goodbyes for our girl. You just know she's out there hearing nothing but the rain.

HELO LIVED. So small secret. I named my car Helo. And while I remember thinking Helo was a moron back on Caprica for hooking up with Athena by the end I really loved Helo. And I thought my love for Helo had doomed him-but he lived. And he will be tending the crops while Athena teaches Hera to hunt and we all know it. Seeing him alive totally one of the parts that made me cry.

President Roslin. I did not love you. And yet you still made me cry. You led your people to earth. I'm so glad you didn't die before you got to see peace.

Tyrol killing Tory was deeply satisfying, even though I liked her for air locking Cally.

Head!Six and Head!Baltar at the end. Nice. Also who would have thought by the end I wouldn't want to paint with Baltar's guts?

There is so much I could say, but this is what I have to say. BSG is one of a few shows to me that I will own the entire series of. Because this show from beginning to end was something to watch. It had it's weak points, but that is one of the best if not the best series finale I've ever seen. It was a wonderful end note to a wonderful series.



In real life news-second interview next week. Maybe I'll be hired perm by the end of May. I sure hope so.

i'm still in shock that there was actually a happy ending. it's still a bit mind boggling to me right now, but i'm entirely okay with it. because they absolutely deserved it. i can also understand why they would want to restart a technology-less life. and HELO! i was seriously a mess when i thought that he was dead but then he wasn't and although i usually puke at cute family moments--the hunting conversation at the end was so amazing. i want to join their family. and yes, i'm naming something helo because he is awesome. rolin's death was quite sad i can't quite hate her cuz she was a positive female character, which was refreshing. and baltar growing a pair? we all knew he would eventually, but i was quite proud of him.
congrats on getting an interview next week! you should rock it.
