MERLIN!!! Bless the internet and BBC for the second season of Merlin. So cute. Totally made my Monday morning to wake up and watch that before work. It made me happy, and I like happy fandom fluff. Plus Merlin is going to have to free the dragon one day which should be interesting. So I now have 13 weeks of Merlin joy to lift my spirits.

Monday: Castle. After watching Nathan on the Emmys as Captain Hammer I was pleased to see that I still enjoy Castle. More fandom fluff. Although I'll add this to my list of shows with bad hair. I don't like what they did to Kate's hair. I really like Castle's daughter though and her unknowing advice.

House: Not worth it without Wilson. The end.

Tuesday: NCIS:I'll continue watching for now. All female characters live. I hate Tony's hair this season (it's a theme for my shows this fall clearly) but I love Tony. And I love how Ziva leaving broke Tony. He had a great line he gave to Ziva but I can't remember what it was exactly. I know they can't really ever get together, but I do really like their relationship. Yes, this show still does have bad women issues see NCIS: Los Angeles

NCIS-LA: BAAAHHHHHH. IDK. I'm not loving it. They disappeared the female team leader. She's not there and they're not mentioning her character. Originally, when the show cameo'd on NCIS I really liked Callum, but I don't think his character works as well in a weekly format. Also:

Dear LL Cool Jay and Chris O'Donnell: THE SLASH FICTION IS WRITING ITSELF. I heard computers explode across your limited fandom at some of your one liners and knowing smiles. I hope you are aware.

Chris and I are not that interested in watching the rest.

Real life is less interesting then TV. I know, most people don't care. However, work is soul sucking. I've been working 11 hour days for the last two weeks and I'm very tired.

Sara moved out to LA successfully. She seems happy. Her room is very pink. And the ceiling sparkles. It sparkles. She lives in a very Chinese-American area. I don't know how she's going to find a job, but I wish her the best of luck.

Rachel Alexandra won the Woodward yesterday against the boys again. The fifth grade 1 race in a row. Fillies are really burning up the racing world. I would give so much to see her and Zenyatta race against each other. Or, in a really cool world they could rule the Breeder's Cup in October by having Zenyatta run the in the Distaff (Zenyatta does not run against boys) and Rachel in the Classic and they could win win win. Oh yes. Sadly, Rachel is not running in any Breeder's Cup race because she doesn't like the surface. So this Woodward was no easy win for Rachel either. She only won by a nose or so, but it was sweet, wire to wire and Macho Again couldn't catch her neither could Da'tara. Some familiar names in that field. So this makes my weekend.

Also on the up is still Leverage. I don't talk about it as much because it's cute and fun and not a show I'm obsessing over but I like it a lot. So much love for Elliot, Hardison, and Parker. This will be the last week of Leverage for awhile. Summer TV is ending and fall TV is not close enough.

Things I Will Be Watching This Fall
1. Dollhouse-I like it enough to watch the second season especially after Ephitaph 1 and with all the BSG cast members they're going to have me thinks it will be amazing.
2. Not Sarah Connor because people are stupid and cancel the show I'm really going to miss
3. NCIS-MAYBE. I've heard spoilers that make me really unhappy with this show. I mean as in I may stop watching on my own personal principles of not supporting a show that treats women the way this show does and thinks that it's okay. There is no excuse for a show that constantly promotes that women will always die over men due to being incompetent, traitors, and that because they're feminine they're deaths are more upsetting. I just think it's disgusting and it's really making me not enjoy the show anymore.

I think it's it. Woe is me for there is almost no fall TV. Ideas?

One more week until True Blood is over and I can swear myself off of such shows. yay. But I will miss Eric and Pam and they're snarkiness. Oh Teacup Humans. I laughed my ass off.

The move to dreamwidth has begun. I am of course [personal profile] ninj on dreamwidth. This is thanks to the wonderful [personal profile] starlady who gave me the code. I have had everything from lj imported to dreamwidth. Sadly, this all came over with my new default icon of The Fool. So that icon is less thrilling then it first was when I picked it. I have disabled comments on lj so you will have to log in with open ID on dreamwidth (it's just your lj user address) to comment. If this is hard and you don't want to, but would like to comment on this journal by all means let me know and I will switch it back. Most of my friends list is still on LJ so I will still be there too.

Tagging. Um help. Because I thought Dreamwidth was supposed to have a better tagging system so that I could link tags that were related, but I can't seem to figure it out. I played around with it a little. The plan right now is to do one month of historical tagging a day and sort of catch up from there. I'm starting in 2005 because I was reading journal entries before that, and I'm just not sure I want people find those. Besides a lot of them would be tagged with 'I was stupid'.

Work is long and hard. We are supposed to go live tomorrow at noon. Cross your fingers people because it's going to be pretty darn interesting. I got my numbers back from April and those were good. I'm happy because April was a pretty bad month for work days. Sadly, my timecard system is not working at this point. I would very much like to get paid next week. Yes.

NCIS continues to make me twitch. This was not the Ziva and Tony relationship I've seen forming for years . Nope. And they've said somebody is going to die. Yay, more character death. Oh look, another new tag *twitches*.
I spent the weekend concerned for my job. Then I found out they were hiring yet another group of people. Suddenly I'm not so concerned anymore. I really do want to figure out what I want to do for a career though. Right now this job is good enough and it is a challenge in some ways, but there is something missing. Maybe it's the feeling of being challenged by my peers which for the most part I'm not. They are great and fantastic people most of whom I like, but they're not challenging in the same way other St. Olaf students were. So I'm really trying to focus in on what I want to do next. So far the only realistic option I see is Teach For America because it both affords me a job and would forgive some of my student loans which I feel like I'm going to need.

The other option is to try and take the State Department Foreign Service Test. And to show how that is only a tiny idea that is just starting to filter into existence I say that I'm not even sure if that is what it is called. So these are two ideas I need to play more with while looking into some other options.

Sarah Connor Chronicles and NCIS info under the cut for the disinterested.
