Soooo....I wrote fanfic. I just can't. I totally blame other people in TVD fandom who make awesome comment fic posts. Anyway, I wrote one, and haven't heard anything. It's not that good, I know it's not, but that's ok. It was totally fun to write. I haven't written in ages. I picked two of the comment prompts to try and write, and the first one totally wrote itself.
The second one...it is trying to develop a plot. It is trying to be the rest of the season of said show. It is also definitely not trying to fill the prompt. I may have to give up on the prompt and just write the end of the season as an AU. I'm halfway in cahoots with the writers in terms of plot anyway, I just happen to think there's less character assassination in mine. It will not end well for my ship. I don't think I can write my ship and that's a bad sign.
Spoilers for show under cut
So Julie Plec said this episode was going to be sad, and it was. I don't think we agree on the manner it which it was sad. As I watched it, I was pretty ok with it granted it was 6:00 this morning.
I expected to have Stefan and Elena back together, but I don't like it. I can see Elena going towards something familiar and safe, but she didn't. She wasn't going to until her friend practically blackmailed her into. Caroline that is not ok! Elena wanted to go with her girls and Caroline told her Stefan. Really?
Damon, imo was so well behaved. I would have done some therapeutic neck snapping if I had to listen to that phone call. This episode really sucked for Damon. I mean it's one thing that the girl you love can't make up her mind, but his best friend is going to die? *pets Damon*
The Tyler/Caroline/Klaus thing is...interesting. I think Klaus is right in that Caroline is not going to stay in Mystic Falls forever. She loves life, and she's going to want to see the world. Probably not with Klaus though sorry.
BTW, totally off topic and back to the beginning of the episode, but I have been writing dialogue that is pretty much Klaus going "Let's get my Doppelganger and go" all week.
Alaric and Esther was such a match made in hell. I hear the actor's a jerk, but I was so sad when Alaric decided not to transition. We need Damon and Alaric's bromance. I was legit upset that he had to go down like that. I almost wanted Damon to turn him anyway, but was glad he didn't. I don't blame Bonnie's character because I know she was possessed and all, but grrrrr. I didn't want weapon Alaric at all.
I feel like this show is going to use bad writing to end the season. I do not want. Esther has to go, and I don't know after all they've done to show that all vampires from the lie die with the original how they can solve the Klaus problem. I like Klaus so I'm not opposed to him surviving.
Klaus takes Elena, that's how the season should end. No memory wipe though. Just take Elena and let her save herself, or be herself. Elena as a vampire I could take or leave at this point. However, Elena with either Stefan or Damon at this point is not believable.
There were so many problems with this episode. So many. But I feel they were better articulated by others.
