Well, as of today, I have been in Japan for one week. So far it has been really fun. I can't really express how much I love it here. I wish I could bring all of you over here, because I think you'd all love it too. My host family rocks, and they're so nice and understanding, even though it's really hard for me to learn Japanese. Like I forget everything they teach me two seconds later. Not a good thing. I did learn the word for horse though (of course). They keyboard here is different so it's harder to type so bear with me.

Now as for the subject. It has to do with the best thing ever. Boss coffee. The cans make a statement. Do not mess with Boss. So far it's one of those things I wish I could bring back to America (the other three Americans do too), but we know we can't. If I had pictures I'd post them, but I don't. Just trust me, Boss is the best.

I finally got see normal anime the other day. Inu Yasha. I also got see part of Ranma 1/2. Also much to my surprise X-men Evolution. Why did they bring our crappy American cartoons to Japan? I mean they have to be laughing at us so bad. It's crazy. Also I bought the first D.N. Angel manga. I also saw the 5th Paradise Kiss manga, but I didn't buy it. Ena reads it though, and she owns the other serries by the same artist. It's cool. They have so much manga here, I wish I could read Japanese. I really am working on it.

Lets see. This week I started to go to language school by myself. Sadly on the first day, after promising that I could get there by myself, I managed to miss my train stop and get lost. I however did make it to language school without any major problems. I was only ten minutes late, and I am so proud because I didn't break down and start crying. This week I did calligraphy, and saw Judo and Kendo demonstrations. That was cool, but really violent. Yesterday I got to go to a Japanese tea cermony. That was really neat. Culturaly I got to learn a lot.

Today I had a school interview. I got to meet an English speaking teacher so that was cool. He's really nice, he told me I could call whenever I wanted. People here are so nice. They'd do almost anything to make your life easier. Rotary got me a cell phone today so now I can call if I get in trouble. There is so much I'm forgetting to tell you guys, but I really don't have much time. I'm thinking of you all, and I hope things are going well for you.

Next week I start regular school, and next week I also have to give a speech in Japanese. I need all the good wishes you can send to me. Oh, and for those of you who might be wondering, I still don't know if I have to cut my hair. I hope not, everyone who sees it thinks it's really cute.
