Well, I've been in Japan for a little over two weeks now. For those of you wondering, yes I still love it here. This week saw many firsts for me, and some endings as well. Saturday was my last day of language school. That was sad because I had to say goodbye to all the other exchange students (I'll actually see them tomorrow). It was fun hanging out with them everyday. Plus on the last day I got to try fran which forgive me those of you who know me, and know what I spent last years study halls doing, might actually be better then pocky. Yes, I will go and hide now. Hopfully Caitlin and Melanie aren't reading this, they might hurt me. I still love the pocky stories though, I almost started to write another one, and I must admit that I am tempted. I have aquired a lot of study halls (they call it free time) at me school, and maybe when I'm not studying Japanese I could do that. Someone better stop me.

On Wednesday I started school here. It was an experince that I won't soon forget. I do like school here for those of you who are wondering. I just don't really understand any of the classes that aren't English classes. Wednesday we only had to go to school for the morning. That should have been in the morning sorry. That was the day I had to give my speech in front of 1,000 Japanese girls in Japanese. It went well. Afterwards in once voice all the girls screamed Kawaii (which means cute or pretty). I was amazed at how loud they could be. Then they proceeded(with all the best intentions) to mob me and try to introduce themselves all at once. So far I have remembered four of them. If anyone has name memorization tricks they would like to share that would be wonderful. There are 43 other students in my homeroom class which meets before and after school to pray and go over general information. I got to a Catholic school. Almost every other day I have to stay after to help clean the Language Lab. Not today though, just yesterday. I don't have to cut my hair. They appear to like it. However, as the only classes I can understand are English and gym those are the classes I get to take. And throw in Biology (not that I understand anyting) for fun. Yes, I take three different gym classes. In all of them we are playing volleyball. Which makes me think of Sara. Although she doesn't play volleyball anymore. Oh, and if I didn't mention this last week (although I have a feeling that I did) I have four different pairs of shoes for school. One pair is to walk to school (and I walk for about 15 minutes) another pair is for inside the school. The third pair is for gym inside the school, and forth for gym outside the school. So, that's fun. There is a very nice girl in my class named Keito, who speaks English. She has been my guide.

I also attended my first Rotary club meeting that was fun. I made a speech there too. They seemed to like it. I had to answer 17 questions on the application to be an exchange student, and they translated those and read them out loud. Which was a long process as most of them were short essay questions. I also got to meet my other host families. They are all very nice, and I look forward to spending more time with them.

I got letters from several people in the last few days and I thank all of you who have been sending them to me. I am replying it just takes time for me to get them into the mail. I sent out a batch yesterday, and another batch will go out on Monday. So if you've written me a letter and you don't get anything in two weeks yell at me. You are wonderful and I should reply.

Okay, well that's all I'm going to write for now I still have to answer e-mail.
