As you can tell, my subjects are getting less and less interesting as time goes on. I couldn't think of a good subject for this post as usual. I actually finished reading this book today during one of my study times so I thought it a fitting topic. It's an interesting book, very different from the play if I remember the play correctly. Then again I probably don't. I think it was done in Hartford a few years ago.

I have just gotten used to school life. They made me a very nice, and very easy schedual that allows me time to study Japanese. Which, is still going slowly. Anyway, the only thing I would love to change about my schedual is the fact that I have P.E. four times a week, and we'll be playing Volleyball until the end of October. Ouch. And as those of you who know me '(probably everyone reading this) I'm not good at sports, particually volleyball. Everyone at school is really nice. For instance today, my Biology teacher who doesn't speak English (this is the only class I take in Japanese by the way, at least for now) actually stopped about halfway through the lesson, and worked with Keito (one of my friends who spent time in America and speaks very good English) and translated some of what they were doing so that I would understand it. They were doing cell division. I thought that was just great, and the whole class helped as well. They all thought it was cute when I said thank you.

I also have this really great English class taught by Corey. She's so nice. She's from America, but she's been in Japan for five years. Anyway, we do debate in her class, and we watch Snow Falling on Cedars. For those of you who know it (and I don't really I've only seen 10 minutes of it, well maybe more like 15) it's about a Japanese man put on trial in America for murder right after WWII. It reflects some of the issues that Japanese Americans had. So far it's very interesting. Then, because it was September 11th (here at least, it won't be the 11th in the U.S. until about 11:00 at night) I asked them what they thought of that, and we had a very nice discussion. I really like this class.

Next week I have off of school. I have to write another Rotary speech in Japanese, which I'm going to work on with Brent tomorrow. Then I have to go and see the doctor again. I don't know what I'm doing the rest of the time. Also, I'm in an art class, and we have to design t-shirts. Okay, those of you who know Rachel's art skill raise your hand. Yep, I'm stuck. The art teacher also doesn't speak English, but really I don't think it would help if he did. I just don't know what to draw. It has to be orginal. So if anyone reading this has any ideas let me know before Sunday. Thanks.

Well, I rode the train to school for the first time this week by myself, and this time I didn't get lost. It was nice. It's not a long train ride, but it's a long walk. However, I guess on the bright side I do get a lot of excercise now. I sent out a whole bunch of letters today, so if you sent me one and I got it recently then you should be getting on in about a week. Lindsey, Abby, Caitlin, and Melanie. As well as my family and sister. If I get a letter from you this week, a reply will be mailed early next week sometime. Thank you all who have been writing.

Oh, and I got more Manga. The 4th and 5th Yami no Matsuei, and the 5th Paradise Kiss. For those of you who follow that serries, I think the 5th one is the last one. Oh, and while I can't understand it yet, I think the ending will shock and surprise some people. I don't know if you'll like it or not.
